By Rail - Newcastle Central Station – approximately 10 minutes walk, a short taxi ride or Q1 bus every 10 minutes.

Durham/Tees Valley Airport – approximately 40 – 60 minutes by taxi or alternatively take the free bus to Darlington station and the train to Newcastle.
By foot - from Central Station – turn right along Neville Street, past the Station hotel and right into Westgate Road. At the High Level Bridge junction, cross over the road, with the Cathedral to your left and the Castle Keep on your right, and head down The Side. Continue downhill to your right on Dean Street and the Guildhall is opposite the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill.

By Road
Please note there is no public car parking available at the Guildhall. Public car parks are situated nearby, to the west of the Swing Bridge and the Dean Street MSCP.
A1(M) from the South
At junction 65 on the A1, take the sliproad signposted A184, Gateshead/Newcastle. (If you see the Metro Centre on your right hand side, you have travelled too far). Stay in the inside lane and after a mile take the A184 Gateshead exit. Follow the signs for Newcastle A167, but instead of going over the Tyne Bridge, follow the signs for the Swing Bridge. Cross over the Swing Bridge and move into the right hand lane, follow the road round, almost doubling back on yourself. After 3 sets of traffic lights, the Guildhall is on your right and you then turn right into the Guildhall car park (if you go under the Tyne Bridge, you have gone too far).
A1(M) from the North
Take the A695 Newcastle City Centre exit and go straight on until the B1600 Quayside roundabout exit to the right. Follow the B1600 Quayside, passing the Copthorne Hotel on your right. After 3 sets of traffic lights, the Guildhall is on your right and you then turn right into the Guildhall car park (if you go under the Tyne Bridge, you have gone too far).
